Another disappearance. Another lie. Another carefully planned abduction.
"Every year more and more teenagers run away from home, whether it be because they feel misunderstood or if their parents actually harm them. No one can truly say, but it happens. There isn't a true way for anyone to stop it, fore it comes from the minds of the teenagers themselves and we can't affect that, no one can. All we must do is hope."
That was what the director of parental awareness said last Monday. There are so many lies in that sentence it makes me want to barf. Yes, teenagers do runaway, but the latest ones, and anyone who has any intelligence would have noticed this by now, are not runaways. The disappearances always happen right after something... abnormal happens to them, trust me, I was one of them. The bigger lie, the one that irritates me the most is, where Mr. Director claims he cannot influence our thoughts. Oh yes he can, well maybe not him exactly, but he has men at his command that we call "Controlers" well, I just call them jackasses, but you get the point. The Controlers can well, control us. They make us write runaway notes, proclaiming our desperation. Trust me, there is nothing worse then having your will taken away.
So what happens afterwards? Well, there's two places you are sent to. First, they cart us off to a laboratory where they run bizarre tests, and tattoo us. We never really understand what the number on us means besides just keeping track. After enough patients arrive at the lab and are tested on, they are sent to hell. The Island. Most of us go insane, and then others give up before then and kill themselves. The rest of us, try and survive, but the doctors don't make it any easier. They run countless tests on us, often using shock treatment. It's horrible. Most of us are dying now, but we're trying.
That's the truth. Don't listen to the lies. Please don't listen to the lies. Please... I can feel my sanity slipping away, and I'm scared. Please.
